What is the Purpose of the Campaign?

The Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce is in business to help businesses and our community succeed and grow. The many programs and services offered are all designed with those goals in mind. However, membership investments pay for less than half of the total cost of the wide range of products and services the Chamber offers. The Total Resource Campaign is a way to provide for those costs, while at the same time giving businesses an opportunity to market themselves throughout the region.

Over 100 Volunteers like you work on the Total Resource Campaign, making it possible to raise the funds to sustain programs for business development, community improvement and member services.

During the Campaign, you will sell sponsorships of Chamber programs, events and publications and secure budget reduction items from business representatives you know and companies you think would benefit. What the sponsor of each program area receives for their investment is specifically outlined in the product sheets contained it this book.

More than 100 individuals will participate from more than 20 companies throughout Greater Wilkes-Barre. The campaign provides a great opportunity—

Efficient Use of Your Time

Chamber and Campaign leaders are quite sensitive to your time demands. That is why we conduct our Campaign meetings at a variety of times. The length of the Campaign enables you to work on your schedule at your place. In addition, the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce staff will assist you with Campaign orientation, training and great event opportunities.
