CHAMBER AND FLEET PA SERVICES ANNOUNCE THE WINNER OF THE YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR AWARD

WILKES-BARRE, PA --- The Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber and Fleet Pennsylvania Services, Inc. recently announced that Kevin Frank, Aquatic Creations, is the winner of the 2000 Young Entrepreneurs Award. This award was designed to promote the development of future business owners and operators in our region. To be eligible for the award, the nominee had to between the ages of 13 and 25, a resident of Luzerne County and be a full-time high school, college or graduate student. The entrepreneur also had to have a for-profit business operating in Luzerne County for at least three months, with a customer base of three or more.

Kevin Frank, President/CEO of Aquatic Creations, is a 19-year-old full time engineering student at Wilkes University. Aquatic Creations, which Kevin started at the young age of 15 years old, began as a hobby. Kevin's love for aquariums and ponds translated into a profitable business. He has over 10 regular customers and many others who call to seek advice on the start-up and maintenance of either aquariums or ponds. The Chamber and Fleet's Young Entrepreneurs Award will be presented at the Chamber's Annual Business Awards Luncheon, which is scheduled for Thursday, June 8, 2000 at Genetti's Best Western in Downtown Wilkes-Barre.
